Thioredoxin reductase 1 (cytoplasm) is an enzyme in humans encoded by the TXNRD1 gene, which encodes a member of the pyridine nucleotide oxidoreductase family. This functional enzyme is considered to be a homodimer using FAD as a cofactor. Each subunit contains selenocysteine ​​(Sec), which is necessary for catalytic activity.
